The Varsity and Junior Varsity program at Mountain View Academy recognizes the success of athletes by providing them an opportunity to participate in a Christian athletic setting where traits such as self-discipline, sportsmanship, and team values are stressed.

An important goal of the coaching staff is to teach the athletes to understand the importance of training while developing character traits to help them build a solid foundation in their lives.
Mountain View Academy belongs to the Private School Athletic League, under the Central Coast Section of the California Interscholastic Federation. MVA participates in these Varsity and Junior Varsity Sports:
- Boys and Girls Track and Field
- Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity Volleyball
- Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball
- Boys and Girls Junior-Varsity Basketball
